Luke 15 tells a story of a son who chooses to go out on his own...to take his inheritance and leave his family behind...
After all that his father has done...he chooses to go out and see what the world has to offer.
As he found out, so have I ... that this world has nothing to offer but confusion and pain, and discontentment. He returns to his father...what is so awesome to me is that as the Father watches me come back...us come back...he doesn't just sit there, all pious - like.
He runs to us.
There are those of you that will read this and not understand. Those of you that say that God isn't real, that He is just a crutch. There are crutches that this world offers us that only leaves us grasping for more...they fall short...drugs leave us empty and depleted. Lust leaves us envious and wanting more. Sex leaves us broken and bruised when done in the wrong context. They fall short.
My crutch. As some of you would say, doesn't fall short, He doesn't leave me empty and depleted, he doesn't make me envious and unfulfilled, he doesn't break me and hurt me.
He saved me.
There are things that you are longing for. Things that this world will offer in an unwholesome way. Go for it. You will see that it leaves you broken, bruised, and wanting more.
I found something that satisfies, and He calls you too. You can have life. You can. He is there. God is there...in the form of Jesus Christ, and He died for you.
I love you guys. This was on my heart and wanted to share...God waits for you...and will RUN to you.
Just go to Him... turn around...seek Him...He is calling You. Can't you hear?

'Fool for You,' by Nichole Nordeman:
There are times when faith and common sense do not align, when hardcore evidence of you is hard to find, and I am silenced in the face of argumenative debate, it's a long hill it's a lonley climb. Maybe it's true.
Unaware of popularity, and unconcerned with dignity, You made me free. That's proof enough for me
