Medley of Prayer

A thousand times I've failed
Still Your mercy remains
And should I stumble again
Still I'm caught in Your grace

Oh daughter find your help
Solely in the Lord
His mercy's without end
His promise he'll uphold.

Take my will and make it Thine
It shall be no longer mine
Take my heart it is Thine own
It shall be Thy royal throne

It doesn't matter what you've heard
Impossible is not a word
It's just a reason for someone not to try

You alone are Father
And You alone are good
You alone are Savior
And You alone are God

Clothed in rainbows of living color
Flashes of lightening
Rolls of thunder
Blessing and honor
Strength and glory
And power be to You
The only wise King

You're the light in my darkness
You're the hope in my hopelessness
You're the peace in my restlessness
You are

In the quiet in the stillness
I know that You are God
In the secret of Your presence
I know there I am restored
In the chaos and confusion
I know You're sovereign still
In the moment of my weakness

God He Reigns
God He Reigns
Holy is the Lord of heaven

Show me where my freedom was bought
Show me where my sin was forgiven
Take me to the cross
Show me where my faith was born
Show me where my heroes
Lived the life I'm longing for
Help me know and love His people
Help me see His divine plan
Help me have the courage
To be more than what I am

Hungry I come to You
For I know You satisfy
I am empty
But I know Your Love does not run dry
Though I run from You
I wanna fall on my knees
Offer You
All of me
Jesus, You're all this heart can live for
I am weary but
I know Your touch will restore my life

So, wait for me. Wait for me.

Amazing grace
How sweet the sound
Amazing Love
Now flowing down
From hands and feet
That were nailed to the tree
Your grace flows down and covers me
(these are snippets from several popular worship songs)

Smiling

I was thinking today... contemplating the art and action of smiling.
As I look around and watch people, I note that not many of the human race participate in smiling. I used to be like that. I think growing up I was a pretty hate - filled, sad - filled, un-happy, un-motivated, un-smiley person. But then god came into my life... and I realized that there is more to life than what I was striving for... money and success and 'happiness.' I found that there is 'Joy in the Lord.'

As I've struggled through things the past few years... god has shown me that he changed me in a way that made me want to smile... now I love smiling! I've found that as I struggle through this existance standing on a plane of faith... that I will fall. But, I don't have to let my circumstances change me back to what i was... in my case, I may not be doing so great in areas of my life, but, I am not going to let this change me and take away my smile.

The change that came through grace is greater, and much more powerful than the change that could come through sin. MUCH more powerful... it's what I will allow to take root in my life that will grow. I won't water this negativeness by losing my smile.

Smiling. Smiling is my favorite.
